THE MAN BEHIND THE PRACTICE
About Frank Tyler Hitt, Oxford Lawyer.
After being born in the heart of the Mississippi Delta, Greenville, my parents moved to Jackson, which is where I grew up. I enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserves after graduating high school and went to the famed Parris Island for a few months. After being trained as an Infantry Rifleman and serving in that role for a few years, I was re-trained and finished my time in the reserves as a Combat Engineer.
During my enlistment I was promoted through the ranks to Sergeant and led Marines as a Non-commissioned Officer. During that same time I finished my Associates Degree at Holmes Community College in Ridgeland and moved to Oxford to finish my undergraduate degree at the University of Mississippi. I graduated with a degree in Marketing from Ole Miss in 2018.
A few years later I decided to follow in my grandfather's footsteps and go to law school. Having fallen in love with Oxford and Lafayette County, there was no choice for me other than the University of Mississippi School of Law. During my tenure at law school I was able to learn from some of the best and gain exposure to many different areas of law and ways of thinking.
Starting with my 1L summer, I clerked for Marc Boutwell at The Law Office of Marc Boutwell in Oxford. Working for Marc during law school gave me the practical knowledge and experience that few other students received. I continue to work with Marc to help others and get people the justice that they deserve. I have been involved in construction disputes, federal §1983 cases, car wrecks, truck wrecks, family law, criminal defense, and much more.
